Owner Darryl Settles pours life back into the former Bob's Southern Bistro (formerly Bob The Chef's) space with a sleek bar, exposed brick walls and sexy lighting that offers the intersection of the South End, Back Bay and Roxbury, the sophisticated social spot they've been craving.
The southern-inspired menu is approachable yet dynamic. Diners can look forward to down home comfort food prepared with an uptown twist in specialties like Fish Chowder with roasted chilis, sweet sausage, corn and garlic toast; Roasted Cod with chorizo, corn chowder and marinated tomato;
Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Hanger Steak Tacos. One of the few places in Boston to offer live
jazz and R&B, Darryl's hosts notable musicians three to four times a week. With its cool vibe, a
friendly staff and late night menu until 12 am, Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen is a welcome new
neighborhood mainstay.
